03 / HOW I WORK
Less mystery.
More momentum.
You work directly with the person
designing and building your project.
01Understand the work.
Start with the people, the problem, and the constraints. Decide what success needs to look like.
02Make it tangible.
Turn the direction into structure, screens, and a clear scope. Get the important decisions out in the open.
03Build with care.
Connect the interface to dependable systems. Test the real workflows and make the details hold together.
04Put it to work.
Prepare the release, explain how it works, and agree on what support and improvements come next.
Design matters. So does what happens after someone clicks.
I’m Matthew Newport, the independent engineer behind BWD. I build websites and applications, and I run my own products too—from a guitar configurator to software for a working farm.
That keeps the work grounded in the practical details: choosing a product, managing an order, finding a record, and understanding what happens next.
{ }Good work is worth sharing.
Shared open-source tools support recurring needs across these applications. For your business, that means more attention on the parts of the project that are specific to you.

A FEW USEFUL ANSWERS
Before we begin.
Do I need a complete brief?+
No. Start with the problem, what you have now, and what you want to improve. We can work out the shape of the project together.
Can you work on an existing Laravel application?+
Yes. An initial review helps establish the current state, the important dependencies, and which changes will make the biggest difference.
How are cost and timing decided?+
They depend on the scope, existing systems, content, and integrations. We agree on the work and its constraints before a build begins.
Can you help after launch?+
Maintenance, hosting, and future improvements can be planned alongside the build. The arrangement should fit the application and the support it actually needs.
